HNA Adult Behavioral Health Programs

Walk-in services are offered at the Agency's Community Health Center, 500 E. Chestnut Ave., Altoona, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. 


Adult Partial:

  • Psychiatric group therapy designed to increase independence and self-efficiency and reduce the need for inpatient treatment.
  • Individual goals are developed.
  • Interventions available are insight-oriented therapies (cognitive/behavioral); symptom management (depression, anxiety, thought disorders); skill building (anger management, assertiveness); coping skills; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); psycho-educational; psychotherapy; co-occurring disorders.
  • Medication management is also available for those individuals admitted to the program.

Blended Case Management – Adults:

  • This program provides services to adults with a serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Services include assessment of strengths and needs, service/goal planning and referrals to resources.
  • Services also include coordinating and linking the individual to services and resources in the community.

Drug & Alcohol:

  • Partial hospital, intensive outpatient, individual and group outpatient and aftercare to individuals in need of treatment for chemical dependency and abuse.
  • Group, individual and family sessions provide education regarding addiction, recovery issues and relapse prevention.
  • Twelve Step recovery programs are strongly encouraged, as an adjunct to treatment.
  • Co‐occurring treatment.
  • DUI Groups.

Mobile Psych Rehab (MPR):

  • This program consists of two (2) separate services. These two services work individually and as a team toward recovery with the individual receiving services.
  • An RN works with individuals on medication management, symptom management, medication information, coping mechanisms, community resources and other applicable areas.
  • An MPR specialist works on coping mechanisms, goal planning, life skills training, community involvement, and many other areas to assist the individual in becoming independent.
